Do you ever feel like your mind is racing, like you are on a roller coaster of worries you cannot get off? Does this anxiety ever translate into physical symptoms like tension in the head, neck, jaw, an elevated heart rate, or hands that get numb and tingly or surprisingly warm? The mind body connection is a powerful one, and we often store anxiety in our bodies.
She also teaches mindfulness techniques and self-hypnosis to group members so they incorporate it in their daily lives. These techniques allow members to feel in control of their minds and bodies and equip them with tools to use in moments of panic and stress. The group is a warm, supportive, and compassionate space to discuss anxiety and fears in our current time and learn adaptive ways to cope.
This group will begin in May or June.
All group therapy sessions will be conducted through a HIPAA-compliant Zoom Link.
The weekly time will be mutually decided by group members.
